LED lighting for stage and theater

where is this H2 used?

Vivid

Boldest color and brightest beam.

Desire™ Vivid™ luminaires are a color powerhouse for the stage, turning LED skeptics into believers. Featuring a blend of seven LED emitters – red, orange, amber, green, cyan, blue and indigo – Vivid fixtures output maximum brightness and the widest range of hues. When a scene calls for a daring wash of color, Vivid luminaires give you the exact color you need in the highest saturation without burning through gels or gobbling up power. Vivid fixtures can replace less-efficient conventional fixtures, or they can be added to your rig to complement and mix with the tungsten sources you already have. Vivid luminaires are your go-to fixture for long-throw and over-the-stage applications like back, down and side lighting. When you need rich color and high brightness, choose Vivid luminaires.

Fire and Ice

Extreme x7 color, super-efficient package.

The Fire™ and Ice™ arrays bring never-before-seen color intensity to the stage. They save you hundreds or thousands of watts of power during every performance.

The Fire array combines five colored LED emitters that create theatrical-quality washes of rubies, ambers, crimsons, violets and more. ETC designed the Fire luminaires to save you power and space on your rig – they outperform gelled conventional fixtures when it comes to brightness levels and use a fraction of the energy. Add them wherever your theater needs dramatic color.

The Desire Ice array balances five colors on one fixture – indigo, blue, cyan, green and a hint of red – to create the smoothest, cool-spectrum colors. The super-efficient LED emitters require less power than tungsten fixtures, saving you on energy costs. And no more wasting gels or valuable real estate on your rig. With Ice luminaires, higher brightness and richer color is possible with fewer fixtures. Use them as down-, side- and backlights to tone the stage and dazzle your audience, while you watch your energy savings build up.

Lustr+

Bright white and tinted light. Low-energy, front- and side-lighting specialist.

Theatrical lighting designers have avoided using LED lights on their rigs because the light produced by them looks so digital and fake, and they don’t meld well with conventional fixtures. The Desire Lustr®+ array is a new species of stage lights, designed to perform to the standards of lighting designers. Based on the proven x7 Color System™ – more color at the source means better light quality – the Lustr+ luminaires feature six colored emitters – red, amber, green, cyan, blue and indigo – and a perfectly balanced amount of white LEDs to produce smooth white and tinted light. With Lustr+ fixtures, you can adjust the lighting to fit the scene, from subtle pastels to cool or warm white. Light skin tones individually, tweaking the Lustr+ output so your talent looks natural, or highlight set pieces or backdrops to bring out their beauty. With their high brightness in lower saturations, Lustr+ luminaires are suited for any front-light application, and are your go-to fixtures for general-purpose illumination and high-visibility lighting. Use Lustr+ luminaires to replace your tungsten fixtures in blackbox theaters, television studios, houses of worship or cafetoriums.

Stage Setups

Flexible functions for everyday theater lighting.

ETC added features to the Desire line of LED luminaires to adapt to the needs of stage lighting designers. You can program the fixtures using the Stage Setups for a variety of uses. Set colors using a simple HSI system and then tweak and fiddle using our new Plus 7 color mode. Desire luminaires adapt to even the pickiest lighting designer. Tungsten fade and bump profiles make digital light analog. Selectable Red Shift emulates the red shift of tungsten during a fade. Regulated LED power management defeats the dreaded LED droop and produces predictable color, hot or cold. Hue/saturation or RGB color modes make selecting color easy and fast. Extended color modes allow designers to begin with gel color and then move beyond. The strobe mode is DMX-controlled for special effects.
