More color in, better light out
The secret behind the Desire fixtures’ color revolution is our patented color system. We call it x7, but we think you’ll call it beautiful. The x7 Color System™ creates light by combining up to seven unique LED colors at the source, opening up a wider color gamut and providing greater flexibility to adjust individual hues. By adding more color spectra to the mix, x7 light renders scenery and costume colors more realistically, like the gels you’ve used for years. Using simple hue/saturation values, ETC control consoles allow you to further tweak that color to accent the costumes, sets and actors you are working with today.
The Desire luminaire family gives you even more peace of mind when it comes to color. All Selador LED fixtures are color-calibrated at our factory, so when you want a particular color, the data stored in the fixture’s array will produce that exact color. We’ve also future-proofed your rig. If you add more luminaires to your inventory later on, their calibration allows them to produce the same colors as your existing fixtures.
The x7 Color System was designed around an expanded understanding of additive color-mixing: more color in means better light out. ETC LED fixtures combine many different emitters – from five to seven different colors – on one unit.
LED color arrays suited to specific tasks.
ETC gives you options. Selador Desire luminaires prevent wasted energy and gels, without losing the color flexibility or crisp white light that your installation demands. You can find the right color array to match your purpose by choosing from the seven Desire variations.
Watch as they wink and blink, sequence and strobe. LEDs are everywhere. Yet they all look alike. Feeling blinded by science? Alone in the ‘unknown LED zone?’
Desire luminaires help your design take shape.
ETC gives you even more options when it comes to lighting with Desire fixtures. The new range of beam-shaping filters bends the native 18° lighting field-angle to fit your needs, allowing you even more lighting flexibility.
Desire fixtures feature holographic diffusers with a smooth cosine drop-off and circular field angles of 25°, 35°, 45° and 75°. The diffusers can also produce oval beams, for oblong field angles of 25x40° and 30x70°.
LEDs emit light in a concentrated direction. To redirect, reshape or diffuse the beam, secondary lensing options for Desire products are available from the Luminit® brand.
